... Whisk me away ...
Lurking in the dark empty alleys
Awaiting a glimpse of novelty
Time creeps away with an unbearable slug
Yet unable to tear away the longing and weariness i should've shed off long before
Unmotivated and uninspired
the tides of time washes me to and fro
Lapping me slowly away from the welcoming shores of my objectives
Deeper i dive into the sea of tribulations
Entices to bait me off my intended course envelopes me with seducing grace
Like a fish in the net
I writhe to return into the arms of safety
Yet the struggles are responded with a tighter grasp
Gasping for breath i fear i'll soon breathe my last
Precarious, each inhalation becomes
Subdued i am not
Yet exhausted i have become
Drained from the asphyxiation of choking pressure
Whisk me away to greener pastures
Where i'm free to rest on laurels past
Ungreedy for the could be glory
I satiate with the silence of simple being
